Cheryl practices as a midwife in South Devon. Reflexology is a passion which she does in her spare time, evenings, weekends and days off!  She has also organised the courses at Hope Cove with Moshe with whom she is pictured.  In October 2009 Cheryl  was a guest speaker at the World Maternity Reflexology Conference in Israel talking about reflexology and homebirth and she has been asked to speak again at the UK First Maternity Reflexology Conference in November 2010.  Cheryl has also trained in maternity shiatsu to enhance her reflexology practice.  Cheryl has a regular clinic day on a Thursday at THE OBSERVATORY COMPLEMENTARY HEALTH PRACTICE, RIDGEWAY, PLYMPTON.

I am a qualified nurse and have worked as a midwife for over 15 years.   Having discovered how amazing complementary therapies can be I decided to change careers and undertook the ITEC Complementary Therapy Diploma at Saltash College in Cornwall.  I have a Diploma in Reflexology and am a member of the Federation of Holistic Therapists and the Complementary Therapists Association.  I am enthusiastic about Maternity Reflexology and have a natural interest in this area due to my midwifery background.

Sharon qualified as a Reflexologist in early 2009, with the South Devon School of Reflexology.

Sharon has always shown a keen interest in complementary therapy; and after many years as a legal cashier and various other positions decided to take the course and has not looked back since. She feels that reflexology is her life’s ambition, and will not at present be studying any other therapies, as she would prefer to be advanced totally in the role of reflexology.

Sharon has six children, and two stepchildren, she also has eight grandchildren, with another one on the way. Reflexology has helped all of them with pregnancies, IBS, Stress, and Menstrual problems; also reflexology has helped many of her clients.

Sharon works from home, but is also mobile, and with her pregnant ladies, this is the best way, because she said, ‘that after a treatment, I like my ladies to rest properly, and not to have to travel.’

Becky originally became interested in reflexology in 2003 and studied for her diploma alongside her full-time job as a teacher. She practised it in her spare time until she had her son and decided to set up her own practice. As well as working from her therapy room at St Mellion, near Saltash, Becky also offers mobile treatments (important for mums-to-be and new mums!). Becky used complementary therapies through her own pregnancy and labour and saw first-hand how they can help achieve a calm and natural birth. She is also qualified in Indian Head Massage and Baby Massage and is a member of the Federation of Holistic Therapists.

Lisa qualified as a Reflexologist in 2006 at The School of Precision Reflexology. She first became interested in Reflexology after her first treatment back in 1992, and decided to train to be a Reflexologist after giving up her job as an accountant to look after her first child.

Lisa has a keen interest in Maternity Reflexology and Reflexology for children, having two young children herself. Susan first became interested in complementary medicine more than 20 years ago, using herbs to make remedies for family and friends. This path led her to become a gardener for 15 years. After having her two children she decided to retrain as a Complementary Therapist and has been building her skills ever since. She has helped many people in her local area with various health problems.

When Susan was approached about the Maternity Reflexology course she was very interested. She had experienced over-medicalised births for both of her own children and felt that this course might enable her to help other mothers to avoid having similar experiences.
